Rockingham County Virginia Rezoning vector digital data withheld REQUIRED: The date when the data set is published or otherwise made available for release. Rezoning The Rezoning feature class is a polygon GIS Feature Class in an Enterprise GIS used to represent proposed and recorded rezoning requests. The purpose of the dataset is to provide a spatial representation of rezoning request boundaries for Rockingham County along with the associated attribute information Rezoning requests that recieve initial approval from the Rockingham County Planning Department are given to the GIS Technician who will then create a polygon based on existing parcel lines, or in special circumstances, may be based on a survey. (This is most common when the proposal is to have multiple zonings on a single property.) The GIS Technician will use the applicaiton to input necessary information into the database. After the request is either accepted or denied, the GIS Technician will enter the date of the final decision by the Board of Supervisors in the NOTES field.
